Our founder M S Ramaswami Pillai is a Brathanatyam legend. He trained thousands of students which also includes Dr.Padma Subramaniam, Flim Stars like E V Saroja, Madilakshmi , Chachu, Kuchala Kumari, Hemamalini (Hindi artist) etc.,​

The dance Natya Natakam “Malavikai Thirumanam” and “Annai Indra” are the most famous Natya Natakam of M S Ramaswami Pillai in which music was composed by T R Pappa for Malvikai Thirumanam and Dr Kunnakudi Vaithyanathan for Annai Indra. Sri Ramasamy Pillai was honoured with the title Natyachelvam, by our Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamilnadu Sri M.Karunanidhi. Sri Ramasamy Pillai also worked as Dance Master for many Tamil Films like, Maduraiveeran, Konjum Salanghai, Manam oru kurangu,pudupatti ponuthaayie,etc. He has also conducted hundreds of Bharathanatyam recitals and Arangetram for his students. He has traveled many Countries to give his service towards this field of Bharathanatyam. He started this Institution in the year 1950.

Now the institution is situated in its own building at Nanganallur which is functioning successfully, presently the daughter and disciple of Guru M S Ramaswami Pillai, Adal Kalaimani Guru Smt J.Vijaya Mohana is teaching Barathanatyam and Natuvangam. She is also the Director of this Institution. Presently more than 300 children are learning Dance and music from the age of 3 years to 65 years. This institution is still maintaining the traditional value of this art and promotes good students in this field.
